Tickets, Booking & Cancellation

Booking & Fare Types

24-Hour Risk-Free Cancellation

Changing & Cancelling After Booking

• You can change or cancel your booking online or via Etihad’s Contact Centre, subject to the fare rules. Change/cancellation fees depend on the fare type and how close to departure you make the change.

• For example, tickets in Economy with flexible fare options tend to have lower fees or free changes; non-refundable/basic fares may only offer credits or have high cancellation fees.

Refunds & Credits

• Refund eligibility depends on the ticket type. Refundable fares allow for monetary refunds; non-refundable tickets may provide travel credit instead.

• For certain locations (e.g. United States), there are additional regulations: e.g. cancel within 24 hours of booking for full refund if booked at least 7 days before departure.

No-Show, Name Changes, and Penalties

• If you don’t show up for a flight without properly cancelling (“no-show”), penalties apply, and you may lose value of the ticket entirely or incur extra fees.
