Refunds & Cancellation

Refunds for Unused Tickets

• Anytime & Off-Peak Single Tickets: Refundable up to 28 days after expiry. An administration fee may apply.

• Advance Tickets: Generally non-refundable.

• Season Tickets: Refundable within 7 days of purchase.

• Family Single Tickets: Non-refundable.

Cancellations & Delays

• Cancelled Trains: If your train is cancelled, you can claim a refund. It's advisable to submit your claim within 48 hours of the cancellation to expedite processing. Claims can be made up to 28 days from the date of travel.

• Delays: For delays of 30 minutes or more, LNER offers compensation through the Delay Repay scheme. You can choose to receive compensation or donate it to CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably).

Price Promise

If you find a lower price for the same LNER journey on another site or app, LNER will refund the difference. To claim, provide a screenshot and submit the claim form by midnight on the same day.
